We're Back For For 2024
In 2024, Underground goes on our most exciting journey yet. Following 18 years running Fringe spaces across Buxton we're converting an old retail unit in Buxton's Spring Gardens shopping centre into a fully-equipped theatre. Returning theatre to Buxton's main shopping street for the first time in 200 years.
We are now accepting applications for all performance types - click below to get started. Applications close on 14 March. Our programme will be announced 1 May.

About Us
Underground has managed award-winning theatres and performance venues since 2006. Set up by two Buxton teenagers to bring more diverse performance into their home town, Underground is now in its 19th year, and runs the premiere and most popular venues on the Buxton Fringe, as well as managing spaces at other festivals.
Initially established underneath the Old Hall Hotel, in 2017 we moved to a new space above The Old Clubhouse for another six years. In 2024 we're moving to our new home in Buxton's much-loved Springs shopping centre.
